Get in touch
You can reach us by phone, by email, or through the form on this page. Phone is quickest during working hours; email suits anything with photos, plans or a schedule attached. Whichever you use, a few specifics about the property and the appliance will get you a straight answer instead of a string of questions back.
Send an enquiry
The more you can tell us, the more useful the reply. There is no limit on the message.
What to tell us
Start with where the property is and whether it is domestic or commercial. Then the appliance and what it is doing: a combi boiler that fires and cuts out, a cylinder that runs lukewarm, a soil pipe weeping into a cupboard. If there is a fault code on the display, send it exactly as shown, and a photo of the data plate if you can reach it.
Access matters more than people expect. Tell us where the boiler and the stop tap are, whether the loft is boarded, whether there is parking, and if we need a site induction, an appointed time slot or a key from a letting agent. On commercial work, tell us who holds the keys and whether the space has to stay in use while we are in it.
If you are planning rather than fixing, send what you have. A floor plan, a bathroom layout, an architect's drawing or a schedule of works all help us understand whether this is first fix, second fix or a full replacement before we come out.
What happens next
We read the enquiry and either price it from what you have sent or arrange to come and look. Small, well described jobs can usually be priced without a visit. Anything involving a new appliance, a change of fuel or a system alteration needs eyes on the property first.
Before anything is booked in you will know the rate and the procedure. We work on open pricing agreed at the time of booking, so you are told what the work costs and how it is charged before we start, not once the job is finished. If what we find on the day changes the job, we stop and tell you before carrying on.
Where we are
We are based in Burton Joyce, on the north-east edge of Nottingham, which puts the city and the villages around it within a short drive. We work at your property rather than from a shop, so there is nowhere to call in โ ring or send the form and we will come to you.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. If you catch us mid-job the phone may go to voicemail, so leave the property address and a description and we will call back when we are off the tools.
Common questions
How quickly will you get back to me?
We answer enquiries during working hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Anything that comes in overnight or over a weekend is dealt with once we are back at work on the next weekday. We are not going to promise a response time we cannot keep, because we are usually on the tools during the day and answering when we come off a job. If you have not heard back from us, ring rather than wait.
Do you charge to come and quote?
For most work we can give you a price from a description and a few photos, without needing to come out. Larger jobs, and anything commercial, usually need a look at the property first so the price is based on what is actually there rather than a guess. If a survey visit is chargeable we will say so before we book it in, never after.
Is a job too small to bother you with?
No. A dripping tap, a leaking waste, a radiator that will not heat, a new washing machine valve, all of it is ordinary work. Small jobs are often easier to slot in than a full install, so it is worth asking. If it is not something we do, we will tell you that instead of leaving you waiting.
Can I book work on a Saturday or in the evening?
Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and we book work inside them. We do not run an out-of-hours or emergency call-out service. If you have water coming in right now, turn off the stop tap and, for anything gas related, turn off the gas at the meter and call the national gas emergency line.
